Dear 2011 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships Volunteer:

You have done us very proud by representing our community and state in first-class fashion and leaving a tremendously positive impression with the athletes, fans, media, and U.S. Figure Skating executives and officials at the 2011 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

As a small reward for your outstanding contribution to the success of the event, we would like to provide you with some figure skating-related fun and a post-event celebration.

On Thursday, February 17, we are offering each of you the opportunity to attend the one-night-only showing of RISE, the combination live and film figure-skating themed event, that was partly filmed in Greensboro at the conclusion of the U.S. Championships.

Towards this end, we have reserved an entire theather-worth (234 seats) at the Regal Grande Cinemas at Friendly Center for complimentary admission (typically $15/person) for our U.S. Championships volunteers.

RISE will start at 8pm. There are some preliminary activities on screen beginning at 7:30pm.

Here is what you must do in order to take advantage of this offer:

1. You must make a hard reservation for the event. (By "hard reservation" that means you are really committing to go---i.e. no just holding slots until you decide later. In other words, barring bad illness or accidents, your reservation is your commitment to attend.)

     a. You can make your reservation by providing your name and what volunteer team you participated on to Judy Hehl at 919.678.1651 or jhehl@northcarolina2011.com by no later than one week from today: by end-of-day Tuesday, February 15, 2011 (day after Valentine's Day!).
2. You are welcome to take friends or family members with you but you must purchase a ticket for them. Tickets are $15 at the box office. 

     a. STRONG RECOMMENDATION: If you plan to take a guest, go ahead and purchase a ticket for them right away---either at the box office or on Fandango.com. There are already 2 theaters at the Grande showing RISE that are sold out and they are now selling into the 3rd theater, so, tickets are going fast! (The Grande has indicated they may be able to continue to add theaters for RISE as demand continues, but you never know, and you don't want to miss out on this big event.)

     b. You will be able to sit with your guest. All tickets are good for any of the 3 (or more) theaters at the Grande showing RISE. All the RISE theaters are showing the film at the exact same time.

3. We will have your complimentary ticket for you in your name at the theater and you will be able to pick it up out front (at our NC2011 table) starting at 6pm that night.

4. You must wear your Volunteer Jacket to the event in order to claim your complimentary ticket.

5. Complimentary tickets are first-come, first serve, and we will accommodate all reservations as long as tickets last.

Come out and join us for the festivities. We plan to make a big night of it. It will be great for everyone to be displaying their Volunteer colors while getting to relax and enjoy the show. Who knows, you may see some fellow residents who are in the movie!
